A primary goal of this course is to expand student understanding of diverse theories of human behavior. Such theories help to explain behavior across environmental contexts and help us organize complex information. The practice situations encountered by social workers are varied, thus we need to draw from multiple theories to understand these situations and to see the potential for change. The Theory “Trading Cards” assignment is a group assignment that requires groups to create and present “trading cards” (i.e., information sheets) on four (4) diverse theories of human behavior over the course of the semester. Students will work in groups to research and create their “trading cards” (be sure to address the requirements listed below). During the appropriate course sessions, each group will informally present their trading cards to help teach their classmates about the theory and its use in social work. the character biography must be written as the character in the first person “I”. You are writing the memories, feelings or thoughts that support the lines in the scene. You do not need to summarize the plot or talk about anything that happens after the scene takes place. I uploaded photos of the scene.
