You will track and profile a popular brand/organization’s social media activities across all relevant platforms. Submit a 2 to 3-page paper (excluding cover page, references, and table/chart) regarding your observation and evaluation of the effectiveness of said brand or organization’s content and engagement. Investigate what your brand has focused on in the past year or two and include your findings in your narrative.
If you haven’t yet, choose a Brand/Product or NGO (e.g. Chobani Greek Yogurt, Sony Playstation, the Red Cross) to track. To make your life easier, pick the brand that you will use for our final paper so you can begin to have an idea about the brand’s activities.
1. PRESENT: Track the brand starting Monday/Tuesday thru Saturday/Sunday and submit your observation and analysis in your paper. Use what you’ve learned so far to compare/contrast or validate your brand’s activities. For instance, chapters 3 and 4 talked about reaching your target audience; last week we tackled Buyer Personas. Based on the themes of their messages and choice of social networks, could their postings be reaching their audience?
2. PAST: You are to investigate your brand’s social media footprint from the past year and analyze their activities as well as audience reactions. Did you notice images, videos, ad for a new product, audio, etc.? What were the general reactions and actions (like, share, etc.)?
